9:10 Airport

9:10 Airport - variation on a theme. Also known as "early Airport," even though it's not as early as 8:00 Airport, this Sunday classic is for those either looking for base miles or wanting to avoid the race pace of Airport Proper (10am - long version).

9:10 Airport is generally run by the East Point Track Club, and is a base pace ride. They generally skip the nature stop, but there is a split between those doing Airport Long route or Airport Short route.

The small peloton departs - it was a rainy morning.

When I'm able to get on the front of this ride and control the pace, it's perfect for getting some solid miles in at the intensity I need to be doing. It's easier than Airport proper because you don't have to worry about either being too far in the front and having to take some pulls, or being too far back and having to jump around guys dropping wheels.

Regardless, whatever your hankering on Sunday mornings there's likely an Airport for you.

Got a little road grime, but nothing crazy. In a big peloton speeding along at 25+MPH it's way dirtier - everything on the road gets kicked up.
