Well, our boys at BMC took the TTT and with it the red jersey! While they were going full steam, Team Sky was going at a relatively snail's pace because of the GC time neutralization due to safety concerns. When they crossed the line it looked like they were just doing a recovery ride. Probably the smart way to do it, and I imagine that will give them an advantage later on.
Stage 2 saw a brutal crash, and some exciting moves at the end. Quintana took some seconds from Froome and the other GC contenders, and Esteban Chaves took the win and the red jersey with it.
Pretty exciting start to things - I've got my money on Quintana for the overall, Froome in second or third, and I hope Tejay can crawl his way to the podium, but his performance yesterday doesn't make me too confident.
