Peak into the Life V

So it's been a while since the last post. It was back during cross, and I just kinda needed a break - I think doing CX was a little too much after a long road season, and I decided to quit CX after Serenbe, take a week totally off for Thanksgiving while in Paris, and then start back building base from there.

So I'm currently about a month and a half into base, feeling good!

But in terms of the blog, as time passed there just seemed to be more and more content that was piling up to post, and it became kinda impossible to carve out the time to sort through it all.

I've decided just jump back into it, and not worry about any content that might just never see the light of day. So here we go, starting back in August. Seems like a long time ago - it was so hot!

This was a hot August morning on the ride to the Tucker start. I usually always run into someone on the hour ride getting there.

Probably one of the biggest Tuckers I've ever seen.

Some strange little bumps popped up on the tires, but then went away (or popped), and then a bit later ended up with a flat. Super hot roads, I'm assuming it had to do with that.

Spotted this on a trashcan on our street. So cool. Wish the Tour de Georgia still existed.

No matter how much I complain about CX, one thing I gotta admit I love about it is being able to put race numbers on the night before a race.

Was glad to have a tire boot. Don't think a dollar bill would've been able to handle it.

The old classic Atlanta-Alabama-Atlanta ride via the Silver Comet, this one with teammates. Normally 123 miles, but I rode from the house making a 150 mile round trip. It had been raining and was super dirty.

Lots of time in the basement for base this winter - over 10 hours a week, in addition to 2-8 hours on the road. Just so hard to get the constant efforts out on the road intown, and it gets dark so early/late.

The CX bike. After Serenbe I sprayed it off, put it there, and it hasn't moved since.
